UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas has an excellent opportunity for a Director of Heart, Lung and Vascular (HLV) Services to direct and manage the administrative and patient care activities of our HLV Services, to include CVICU and telemetry units, cardiovascular diagnostic invasive suites and non-invasive cardiac testing. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to help nurture and sustain our culture of nursing excellence as we continue on our journey for Magnet® designation. Join us now and get in on the ground floor of our new, state-of-the-art William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, scheduled to open in November 2014.

In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of medical staff to lead evidence-based clinical/quality initiatives. The Director of HLV Services will also oversee both short- and long-term planning in all aspects of management, including facilities, equipment, personnel and staff development, business development and marketing.





Job Requirements


Education, training, experience:

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a current Texas RN license, Bachelor’s degree or BSN (Master’s degree preferred) and 7–10 years of strong management experience in Cardiopulmonary and Vascular Services; ICU and/or Cath Lab experience preferred. Excellent communication and team-building skills are essential.
