Job description:
Oncology experience is strongly preferred. Current license and/or certification as defined by the TSBPAE or TSBNE as required for clinical licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant or current license to practice pharmacy by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy is required.

Responsible for the daily operations and the coordination of department activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the daily operations and human resources management of department clinical staff to include staffing, performance management and professional development. In collaboration with director, develops and manages department budget. Participates in strategic planning initiatives. Directs and ensures compliance in the implementation, maintenance and evaluation of evidenced based patient care management tools. Coordinates departmental clinical functions to include turnaround time of patient care management tools and quality management activities. Identifies and evaluates appropriate metrics to report to internal and external stakeholders. Collaborates with multidisciplinary staff members throughout the institution to ensure recognized industry standards are utilized.

Job Description-Requirements EDUCATION:
Required: Master's degree from an accredited school of Professional Nursing or a Physician Assistant training program or a Pharm.D. degree from an accredited college of pharmacy

EXPERIENCE:
Required: Five years clinical experience to include two years in a supervisory capacity.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Required: Current license and/or certification as defined by the TSBPAE or TSBNE as required for clinical licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant or current license to practice pharmacy by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy .
